Here you'll find answers to the most common questions people have about this acupressure service. My goal is to provide clarity and peace of mind, so you feel confident and informed before your first session at Sun Dawg Studio.
What do people commonly want to know about acupressure at Sun Dawg Studio?
Clients often inquire about the duration of a session, the range of conditions acupressure can address, and how it differs from reflexology. At Sun Dawg studio, sessions typically last 60-90 minutes depending of what we address in the session, acupressure can assist with various concerns from stress relief to pain management, digestive issue, range of motion and it is a distinct modality from reflexology, focusing on specific acupoints along meridians rather than solely on feet or hands.
During the session, you will be fully clothed, removing only your shoes. You will be laying down on your back on a supportive massage table. I will always have my hands on you holding two acupoints in the same time.
What worries or misunderstandings do people often have before trying acupressure for the first time?
A common misunderstanding is confusing acupressure with acupuncture. I want to assure you that Sun Dawg Studio uses no needles. My treatments involve deep yet gentle finger pressure on specific points, providing a relaxing and therapeutic experience without any invasive procedures.
Finger pressure will call the vital flow in a more gentle manner than the use of needles. The pressure is sustained for a period of 1 to 3 min to encourage the flow of Qi and promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being.
What are the biggest benefits people experience from Sun Dawg Studio treatments, and what can they expect during a session?
During a session, you can feel twitches , spasms and emotional release. My clients frequently report experiencing profound deep relaxation and a heightened sense of awareness and harmony. Yes ! You might fall asleep !

Acupressure is generally safe and beneficial for most individuals. However, we always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider if you have specific health conditions or concerns before starting any new wellness treatment.
